25 fresh Covid-19 cases in J&K, recovery rate touches 99%

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Monday reported 25 fresh cases taking the number of active cases to 325 while as no death was reported during past 24 hours in the UT.

J&K death count at 4,749 and 25 fresh positive cases have now taken positive cases tally to 453,270.

Among new cases, 05 belong to Kashmir division while as 20 are from Jammu division.

Total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 287,168 including 284,580 recoveries and 2,423 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 166,102 including 163,616 recoveries and 2,326 deaths, officials said.

The total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 325 including 165 from Kashmir division and 160 from Jammu division.

With 57 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 448,196 which is 98.88 percent of the total cases.

“Cases tested positive in J&K include 03 from Srinagar, 02 from Baramulla in Kashmir division while as 20 from Jammu division include 12 from Jammu district, 02 from Udhampur, 00 from Rajouri, 03 from Doda, 02 from Kishtwar, and 03 from Ramban officials disclosed.

Meanwhile, authorities said that no fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and the tally stands at 51.

As per officials figures, 102,279 positive cases including 907 deaths and 101,261 recoveries are from Srinagar, 37,601 including 304 deaths and 37,267 recoveries are from Baramulla, 34,806 including 34,564 recoveries and 237 deaths are from Budgam, 18,418 including 18,215 recoveries and 201 deaths are from Pulwama, 21,724 including 174 deaths and 21,541 recoveries are from Kupwara, 22,419 including 22,200 recoveries and 219 deaths are from Anantnag, 13,678 cases including 13,555 and 118 deaths are from Bandipora, 13,626 including 13,542 recoveries and 84 deaths are from Ganderbal, 16,313 including 16,191 recoveries and 119 deaths are from Kulgam and 6,304 including 6,244 recoveries and 60 deaths are from Shopian.

In Jammu division, 76,085 including 74,751 recoveries and 1,222 deaths are from Jammu district, 14,764 including 14,613 recoveries and 147 deaths are from Udhampur, 12,800 including 12,549 recoveries and 249 deaths are from Rajouri, 11,506 including 11,344 recoveries and 144 deaths are from Doda, 11,405 including 11,238 recoveries and 166 deaths are from Kathua, 9,083 including 8,957 recoveries and 125 deaths are from Samba, 5,888 including 5,834 recoveries and 46 deaths are from Kishtwar, 7,738 including 7,622 recoveries and 110 deaths are from Poonch, 8,132 including 8,057 recoveries and 69 deaths are from Ramban and 8,701 including 8,651 recoveries and 48 deaths are from Reasi.

As per the daily information bulletin 6,177,194 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 32,001 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 325 persons are in isolation.

According to the bulletin, 5,685,203 persons have completed the surveillance period and 453,916 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 23,570,937 samples are available. Out of 23,570,937 the number of samples tested negative stands at 23,117,667 while as 453,270 have tested positive, among them 325 cases are active, 448,196 have recovered and 4,749 persons have died.
