Governor Jammu and Kashmir Satya Pal Malik on Tuesday appealed to the people not to pay heed to rumors and said everything was normal in the state.
Malik said that the ‘government’ orders being circulated on social media in Kashmir from past few days were invalid.
“No such order has been issued by the government. All the orders circulated om social media are invalid,” Governor said.
During past few days some government orders are being circulated on social media to the effect Delhi might have plans to do away with Article 35A.
“Rumour mongering in Kashmir is on the rise. If a small incident happens in Lal Chowk, I get news at Governor House that a blast has occurred in Lal Chowk,” he said on the sidelines of a function at SKICC in Srinagar.
Speculations of scrapping Article 35A have generated a discourse in Kashmir over the past few days after the Centre decided to deploy an additional 100 companies of central armed paramilitary forces in the violence ravaged region58
