Srinagar: For the second running day today over 1500 Coronavirus cases were reported from Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir taking the caseload tally to 49134.
For past over a week, J&K has reported over 1000 Corona cases each day as majority of people continue to do away with face masks, which is the first and foremost precaution needed to be followed especially in crowded places like major markets and bus stands.
Social distancing also seems to be a forgotten as people tend to throng markets, banks and other public places across Jammu and Kashmir.
Jammu and Kashmir reported 1592 on Wednesday, officials said.
Thursday’s cases include 112 travelers. , Also, 770 cases were reported from Jammu division and 822 from Kashmir Valley, officials said.
Srinagar reported 218, Baramulla 75, Pulwama 68, Budgam 190,
Anantnag 49, Bandipora 56, Kupwara 85, Kulgam 15, Shopian 2, Ganderbal 64, Jammu 421, Rajouri 48,
Kathua 47, Udhampur 28, Samba 35, Ramban 8, Doda 31, Poonch 78, Reasi 28 and Kishtwar 46, according to data issued by health department.
Also, 344 COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals— 71 from Jammu Division and 273 from Kashmir Valley, officials said.
