Srinagar: There is no let up in COVID-19 positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir as the infection count continues to soar particularly over past nearly two weeks.
The Union Territory reported 1686 of coronavirus cases during past 24 hours, taking overall caseload tally to 54096, official said on Saturday.
Saturday’s tally is second highest single day spike in J&K and it was for the eleventh straight day that daily caseload exceeded one thousand mark.
Saturday’s fresh cases include 116 travellers, 875 cases were from Jammu and 811 from Kashmir Valley.
Srinagar reported 185, Budgam 158, Baramulla 79, Pulwama 44,
Anantnag 47, Kupwara 62, Bandipora 128, Kulgam 22, Ganderbal 78, Shopian 8, Jammu 405, Udhampur 56, Rajouri 70, Kathua 48, Samba 29, Poonch 79, Ramban 31, Doda 94, Reasi 18 and Kishtwar 45.
Meanwhile 452 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals— 146 from Jammu Division and 306 from Kashmir Valley, officials said
