Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir reported 234 fresh covid-19 cases including 89 travelers and a person succumbed to the virus during past 24 hours, officials said on Wednesday.
Among the fresh cases, 116 were reported from Jammu Division and 118 from Kashmir, taking the overall tally to 3,37,086.
There was one death, from Kashmir Valley, due to the virus during the last 24 hours, they said. So far 4,477 persons—2,185 in Jammu and 2,292 in Kashmir—have died due to the virus, they said.
Srinagar reported 63 cases, Baramulla 28, Budgam 3, Pulwama 1, Kupwara 5, Anantnag 0, Bandipora 6, Ganderbal 6, Kulgam 6, Shopian 0, Jammu 20, Udhampur 2, Rajouri 2, Doda 1, Kathua 0, Samba 0, Kishtwar 2, Poonch 1, Ramban 0 and Reasi 88.
They said 89 of the fresh cases were travelers and 87 alone from Reasi district.
Also, 171 Covid-19 patients recovered during the time, 26 from Jammu Division and 145 from Kashmir.
So far 3,30,922 patients have recovered, leaving active case tally at 1,687—381 in Jammu and 1,306 in Kashmir.
There was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 49 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said.
The officials informed that 5,91,34 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered during the time in J&K.
