Shopian: In a bad shape, ignored Shopian to Aharbal road has become prone to accidents, local residents said.
The landslides triggered by snow and flash floods have damaged the road at many places but authorities have completely ignored the vital stretch connecting Shopian & Kulgam districts, they said.
Aharbal is famous for water falls, which has been main attraction for tourists.
Vehicles ply on the road with great difficulties as it has narrowed due to damage at several places, said a Sedow village resident.
The road witnesses huge flow of traffic through out the year.
A number of accidents have occured in the past but authorities remain unmoved, Sedow village residents said.
They demanded immediate repairs and macdamization of the road.
