Kupwara: Several students took admission at Government Middle school Halmatpora in Kupwara district on Saturday during an enrollment drive under the dynamic leadership of Chief Education Officer Kupwara and other senior officials.
Coordinators enrollment drive zone Kupwara organised the drive in which educational reforms committee members, Head of Institution (HOI), teaching staff and parents of newly admitted students participated.
Several students were enrolled in presence of senior officials during the drive, officials said.
Addressing the gathering, officials felicitated the parents for taking the decision of enrolling their wards in government schools.
They asked the parents to visit the school freely to enquire about the education of their children.
Teachers were directed to take steps to fill the learning gaps of students and use innovative pedagogy during teaching-learning process.
Principal BHSS Kupwara discussed various measures taken by the government for improvement in education sector and new enrollment in Govt. schools.
The parents demonstrated enthusiasm to admit their wards in government schools.
The teachers of the cluster put forth various demands before officials, who assured them that their genuine demands shall be addressed.
Some other speakers expressed gratitude to the ZEO and enrollment drive team Kupwara zone for organizing the event on a short notice.
The drive was headed by Principal BHSS Kupwara Mehrajuddin Shah
Ali Mohammad Lone, ZEO Kupwara/ Drugmulla, ZEO Kralpora, Abdul Ahad Lone were present.
