J&K Chief Justice visits temples in Kupwara, compliments admin & security forces in preserving heritage

Kupwara: On the sidelines of his official visit to Kupwara, Chief Justice J&K, Justice Pankaj Mittal also visited various temples in Kupwara.

Mittal was escorted by Lieutenant Colonel Puneet Kataria of Humadard-E-Kupwara battalion and Manoj Tandon, who briefed the dignitary about historical significance of these temples. Chief Justice visited temples including Shiv Mandir, Trehgam. He was received and briefed by Major Akhil K Umesh, Humadard-E-Kupwara battalion, according to a press release issued by army.

At Kheer Bhavani Temple, Tikker, Mitall was received and briefed by Assistant Commandant Dinesh Mor, 98 battalion CRPF.

He also visited Sharda Mandir, Gushi and Shiv Sthapan, Hathmulla, Nagri.

The dignitary appreciated the cultural richness of Kupwara and complimented the district administration and security forces for coming together in preserving the heritage of Kupwara.
