Kupwara: A Border Security Forces’ soldier shot himself dead in north-Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Wednesday, officials said.
The soldier identified as Head Constable Bharinder Singh of 118 Battallion shot himself with his service rifle, while on duty in Tanghdar area of the district.
The cause of him taking this extreme step remains unknown so far.
Police has filed a case and taken up investigations to ascertain the reason behind the extreme step.
