KUPWARA: District Development Commissioner(DDC), Kupwara, Anshul Garg today convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the progress of Jal Jeevan Mission and Languishing Projects, besides, reviewing water supply facilities available at Schools and Anganwari Centres. The meeting also reviewed progress of Back to Village programme.

The meeting discussed all agenda points at length and the DDC get appraisal from the concerned Officers and Engineers regarding present status of the onging schemes of PHE , Irrigation and other works.

The DDC directed Engineers of PHE to accelerate the work of online uploading facilities regarding availability of water supply in Government schoòls, both in Kupwara and Handwara PHE divisions with two days. The DDC expressed dissatisfaction over the laziness of Concerned Engineers and asked Joint Director Planing to provide two Computer Operators to the concerned engineers so that the work of uploading is completed with two days.

While reviewing the progress of PHE schemes under Back to Village programme, the DDC asked Executive Engineers of PHE division Kupwara and Handwara to submit Utilization Certificates (UCs) by December 07,2020 through Superintending Engineer concerned.

The DDC also took stock of preperations of DPRs for water Supply Schemes underJJM and asked concerned to speed up the process .

The DDC also reviewed availability of tanker service and pending liabilities during COVID-19 containment measures.

The SE, Hydraulic Kupwara, Joint Director Planing and other concerned officers and Engineers were present in the meeting.
