Kupwara: District Police Kupwara on Wednesday organised ‘Athletic Meet For Specially Abled Persons’ at Govt. Boys Hr. Sec. School Kupwara.
Proving that physical or mental disability were not a hindrance, the athletes at the event participated in various games like throw ball, race, tug of war and other.
The event was inaugurated by SSP Kupwara Shriram Ambarkar. In his address SSP Kupwara said, “Such sports competition for these childrens gives them an equal participation in the society as they show their best efforts to win the games”.
Ambarkar greeted contestants for participating in the event.
On the occasion, ASP Kupwara, Afroz Ahmad, Dysp Hq, Mudasser Trumboo, DySP DAR DPL Kupwara Sarfaraz Bashir, and other police officers were also present.
