Shopian: A group of volunteers in South Kashmir’s Shopian district led by advocate Owais Khan distributed essential commodities to the needy people in the district on Monday.
At least, 15 families were provided kits containing necessary eatables besides medicines and baby food items.
Owais Khan said that around 700 volunteers are working for this noble work.
Arif Turray, Hadi and Hashim students were on toes to provide help to the people in various villages.
“We will deliver life-saving drugs for free to the poor,” said Khan.
Advising people of Union territory to stay indoors and break the chain, some volunteers including Sajid Mushtaq, Owais Beigh, Umar Manzoor, Saleem Mir, and Amir Khan contributed in the drive to help needy people.
