Srinagar: An army soldier from Anantnag district was killed, when his service weapon reportedly went off accidentaly at Uplona Baramulla- his place of posting, officials said on Thursday.
Sepoy Muneer Ahmad Ganie (13780067W), was posted with army’s 52 RR.
“Reportedly on June 2, his service weapon went off accidentally, while cleaning. He was critically injured due to firearm injury. He succumbed to his at a hospital a few hours later,” GNS, local news agency, quoted sources as having said.
