Kupwara: A former police Head Constable was apprehended after recovery of ammunition from him in Kupwara, officials sources said.
The accused identified as Jahangir Ahmad Khan son of Ali Khan, a resident of Dildar Karnah, was apprehended at ‘NC Pass’ Post here.
On frisking, the forces recovered illegally held seven rounds of 7.62 cartridges (6 live and one blank), one round each of pistol, AK-47 and 5.56 cartridge from his possession, GNS quoted official sources as having said.
The accused police constable was dismissed from services in year 2017.
