Sopore: Security forces launched a cordon and search operation (CASO) in Amargrah area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Monday evening.
A joint team of Army’s 52 RR, Special Operation Group (SOG) of J&K police and paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) cordoned off Amargrah area of Sopore and conducted house to house searches in the area, police sources said.
All entry and exit points towards the area were sealed by the security forces.
“Searches were launched following intelligence inputs about the presence of militants in the area,” sources added.
