Srinagar: Two soldiers from Army’s Kilo Force have been killed in a militant attack near HMT on the Srinagar-Baramulla highway, officials said.
The militants fired at Army soldiers near HMT, leaving two critically wounded. The injured soldiers were removed to Army’s 92-base hospital but they succumbed.
Senior security officials have rushed to the spot and the area has been sealed.
Defence sources said that the slain soldiers were part of Army Road Opening Party (RoP).
Senior army and police officials are on the spot, assessing the situation, sources said.
