Kupwara: Positive COVID-19 cases in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district rose to 45, on Friday after four more suspects tested positive.
Door to door surveillance will be started in red zones from Saturday, Kupwara Deputy Commissioner, Anshul Garg told Curtain Raiser in an exclusive interview.
Agressive contact tracing and testing is on in the district since April 4, when first COVID-19 positive case surfaced.
The district authorities’ can collect at least 150 samples per day, which is fastest and largest in Valley so far, Garg said.
‘Essentials including ration, LPG and medicines are available even in red zones. Two lakh face masks have been distributed so far,” said DC.
“We have ensired delivery of cash at the doorsteps in red zones in wake of Ramadhan,” he added.
