Kupwara: To commemorate the 72nd Republic Day, 160 Inf Bn (TA) (H&H) (Kupwara Terriers) organized a celebratory event at AGS Wayne Kupwara. Attendees included students and teachers of the school, parents and locals from adjoining villages.
The event was celebrated with enthusiasm and patriotic fervor as the tri-color was hoisted followed by the national anthem. AGS Wayne principal, Mr Tariq Ahmed Tariq addressed the guests and applauded the students for their enthusiastic song and dance performances.
Commanding Officer 160 Inf Bn (TA) (H&H) (Kupwara Terriers), Col Swaraj Bhattacharya inaugurated the ‘Computer Training Center’ for providing vocational training (O-level Certification). He said, “The center will provide free advanced computer training skills to the students of Kupwara enabling them to seek better education and career opportunities in the future.”
The center is being setup in collaboration with the Jan Shikshan Sansthan – Kupwara under the aegis of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (GOI) for continued advancement of knowledge and skills of the students.
