Poonch: The Pakistan Rangers on late Wednesday evening violated ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Mankote sector of Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.
The Rangers resorted to “unprovoked” ceasefire violation at around 10 PM by firing small arms and mortar shells.
“Intense unprovoked” shelling was retaliated befittingly by the Indian Army. “There was no immediate report of any loss to life or property,” officials added.
