Srinagar: Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted erratic weather in Jammu and Kashmir till December 13.
In a statement, IMD said that weather is likely to remain mainly dry till December 6th evening.
As expected earlier there’s less than 90% chances of moderate snowfall with isolated heavy fall during 7-8th Dec. On higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh including places like Gulmarg, Zojila, Banihal-Ramban Top.
This system is likely to give more snowfall on northern parts of Valley, Drass Sonmarg axis. Meanwhile Plains of J&K and Zanskar, Drass and other places are likely to get light snowfall or rain.
Another spell of snowfall is likely to occur during December 12-13 and it may change slightly in coming days, predictability upto 60%.
Above spell of snowfall may lead to disruption of traffic on Zojila and Mugal road, said the official.
